Bio
I am holder of PhD in cultural and developmental psychology specializing in Early Childhood from the University of Osnabrueck in Germany and a MA in Public Health Methodology, Diploma in Communication and diffusion, and in Advanced Research methods from the School of Public Health, ULB in Brussels. I worked as a Research Associate at the Department of Culture and Development on Cross-cultural/Cross-country) projects specifically on Parent-Child relationships and early experiences of children and developmental pathways that resulted in several publications, co-authored in peer-reviewed journals, a book, book chapters, presentations in National and International conferences, guest lectures and seminars to undergraduate students. I have been working as a consultant in Early Childhood Development, infant and young child feeding, maternal, child and adolescent health supporting Countries and institutions in their policy planning, strategy development and action plan, capacity development, implementation arrangements and coordination mechanisms, monitoring and evaluation to enhance the work of Government and CSOs, private sector, communities and parents for improved child outcomes especially for the poorest, underserved disadvantaged and marginalized families.
My interest is the holistic care of children with an integrated and life-course approach to ensure that young children are born healthy, with a solid foundation, enjoy integrated care services and interventions for holistic development to attain their optimal potential. My goal is to ensure that professionals working with children, parents, caregivers, families and communities, civil society organizations, policy makers and other stakeholders understand the needs of children across the life course and support parents ad caregivers to provide quality and accessible care and interventions children for a good start in life and for optimal developmental outcomes.
My focus include policy planning and strategy development and implementation, capacity development, monitoring and evaluation of early childhood development; Research on parenting and caregiver-child relationships, integrated early childhood development, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and wellbeing, and optimal human development from a life-course perspective.
