Research Interests
My group is interested in understanding mechanisms of energy and charge transfer in materials for solar energy conversion. As many of these processes occur on timescales ranging from picoseconds to milliseconds, we use a variety of ultrafast spectroscopic techniques, including THz spectroscopy and time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy. Currently, our main focus is on identifying and understanding optoelectronic processes in hybrid metal halide perovskite thin films, a class of hybrid organic-inorganic semiconductors which have shown promise for use in commercial solar cells and LEDs.
