个人简介
I graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2011 and became a member of LAQV@REQUIMTE. In 2014, I obtained a 2nd MSc, this time in Quality Control (Food & Water). From 2015 to 2019, I developed my PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Nutrition & Food Science) addressing food safety issues related to priority lipophilic contaminants, namely endocrine disruptors, in seafood and evaluated their impact on human health, especially in the gut microbiota homeostasis (PhD grant, SFRH/BD/101945/2014,FCT).
In brief, my main scientific and academic achievements comprise: i) Team LEADER in 1 research project (IJUP2021-ITAU-12); ii) Team MEMBER in other 9 research projects, including 1 FP7, 2 FEDER and 6 FCT; iii) Publication of 35 PAPERS in INDEXED JOURNALS (IJ, 15 as 1st author and 27 from collaborations with several research groups; av. IF=5.75, max IF=12.30). The overall citations received Scholar Google are 1128 (h-index=19) and in Scopus journals and in ISI Web of Science are 719 (h-index=16, as on date). These publications mostly belong to the Q1 of Food Science & Technology, Nutrition & Dietetics, Applied Chemistry, and Environmental Sciences; iv) Publication of 2 PAPERS IN NON-IJ and 3 BOOK CHAPTERS; v) Publication of 1 TECHNICAL REPORT for Word Health Organization; vi) GUEST EDITOR of the special issue ¿Advance of Rapid Analysis Technology for Detecting Food Contaminants¿ in MDPI Foods (SJR Q1); vii) REVIEWER of numerous papers for IJ, including Food Chem., J. Chromatogr. A, STOTEN and Tren. Environ. Anal. Chem. (SJR Q1); viii) Participation in numerous SCIENTIFIC EVENTS with 37 panel and 11 oral communications in NATIONAL and INTERNATIONAL conferences; ix) Participation in several science DISSEMINATION ACTIVITIES, including being member of the organizing committee of several scientific conferences; x) MEMBER of the COST ACTION CA18131 - Statistical and machine learning techniques in human microbiome studies; xi) Strong collaboration with the pharmaceutical (Bial), food (Ramirez, ITAU), food technology (Tellspec®) and food waste (Resiway) INDUSTRIES to which I regularly perform standardized quality control analysis. This collaboration provides solutions for production-sourced problems while creating scientific knowledge and obtaining industrial data. xii) SUPERVISION and TUTORING of grade, master's and doctoral students from several countries: Portugal, Spain, Servia, Brazil, Algeria, Turkey. Currently, I am co-supervising 3 MSc students (1 concluded, 2 ongoing, of which 2 Portuguese and 1 Brazilian) from FFUP and IPB. xiii) 9-years TEACHING EXPERIENCE in 3 food science-related course units as invited assistant professor at FFUP and acted as an invited speaker in classes of Master degrees. I also participated in the ¿De par em par na U.Porto¿ project, which is a multidisciplinary class observation model that aimed to improve the quality and relevance of the teaching work of higher education teachers. Moreover, I often act as MAIN OPPONENT in academic proofs of MSc students.
