Bio
Raviv Perahia received the B.A. degree in physics and the B.S. degree in electrical engineering in 2003 from Boston University, and the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in applied physics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), in 2005 and 2009, respectively. His doctoral work focused on microscale semiconductor optical cavities for laser and sensing applications. From 2009 to 2010, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Caltech, working on MEMS and optomechanics. In 2010, he joined HRL Laboratories, as a Technical Staff Member, where his work is focused on inertial sensors and quartz MEMS.
