Bio
Ratikanta Behera received his Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India, in 2013. From December 2013 to December 2014, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Notre Dame, USA. Then, from January 2015 to July 2016, he worked as his second postdoctoral researcher at Laboratoire Jean Kuntzmann (University of Joseph Fourier), France. After completing these two Post-Doc, he worked as an Assistant Professor (July 2016 to December 2019) in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Indian Institute of Science and Education Research (IISER) Kolkata, India. Further, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher (December 2019 to May 2022) in the Department of Mathematics, University of Central Florida, USA. Since May 2022, he has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computational and Data Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, 560012, India. His research interests include recurrent neural networks, time-varying systems, wavelets in scientific computing, numerical linear algebra, tensor decomposition, iteration methods, and generalized inverses of tensors.
