Rajesh Kumar was born in India. He received the M.Sc. degree from Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur, India. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree at Loughborough University, Loughborough, U.K. He was with the Institute for Plasma Research in 1996 as a Researcher in the Pulsed Power Group. He received an UNESCO Fellowship for Pulsed Plasma Diagnostics in 2000 at IPPLM, Warsaw, Poland. His interests include pulsed high-voltage generators, fast opening switches, and fast diagnostics for dense plasmas.
