个人简介
As researcher, in my pre-doctoral period I developed a new tool for the study of Muscular Physiology in the Department of Medical Physiology and Biophysics of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Seville. During this period I traveled to prestigious universities of England and the United States where I learned techniques that would help me to know the muscular functioning. When I returned to Seville, with this new tool and the new techniques acquired, I learned how the muscle worked in conditions of rest and absence of pathology. After completing the doctorate, we plan to use this tool for the study of the pathophysiology of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). To this end, I was awarded the prestigious postdoctoral Fellowship of the "Association Francaise contre les myopathies (AFM) " for the realization of the project:-Monitoring synaptic function in the neuromuscular junction of a SMA mouse model which express Syphy-Phluorin.
As teacher, during my pre-doctoral period I gave the practical credits of General Physiology of the degree of medicine in the Department of Medical Physiology and Biophysics of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Seville. In September 2016, I continued my teaching work at the University Center San Isidoro where I teach the subjects of human physiology of first year and, physiology and biochemistry of the exercise of second course of the degree of sciences of the physical activity and of the sport and the subjects of human physiology and pharmacology in Physioterapy degree.
From October 2019 I am the director of the department and help with human resources and teaching and researching planning.
Our research team is interested in the understanding of the physiological and biochemical changes and adjustments that occur in the human body in response to both acute and chronic (training) exercise.
