个人简介
Dr. R. Ramaprabha, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SSN College of Engineering, Chennai has 20 years of teaching experience including 14 years of research experience. She obtained her B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and M.E. degree in Power Electronics and Drives from Bharathidasan University, Truchirapalli and Ph.D. in the area of Solar Photovoltaic Systems from Anna University, Chennai. During her Ph.D., she developed ‘Solar Energy Research Lab’ which is in the east wing of EEE department (at SSN College of Engineering) with internal funding. She has published 102 research publications in international journals, 145 papers in the proceedings of refereed international and national conferences. She has published 2 books and 4 book chapters. She received best teacher award for the academic years 2009-2010, 2010-2011, 2014-2015, 2016-2017 and the CTS best faculty award for the year 2016-2017. She is recipient of “Outstanding Researcher Award 2016” by Venus International foundation, Aufau International Awards, “PEARL Foundation Best Women Researcher Award 2016” and “2018 Green9 Energy Contributor Award - KALAM VISION 2020 award”. Her name is included in the 30th, 32nd and 33rd Editions of Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, USA. She has been selected for 2017 & 2019 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who, USA. 3 students completed their Ph.D. and currently she is guiding 10 Ph.D. students including 4 full-time candidates. She is a reviewer for several referred international journals. She completed 2 internally funded projects titled ‘Efficient energy utilization of solar PV array under partial shadow’ of ₹9.19 lakhs and ‘Design and development of efficient building integrated PV system under partial shaded conditions’ of ₹3.5 lakhs (funded by SSN Trust). She is a scientist mentor for the project titled ‘Design and development of flywheel based power conditioning system for a renewable energy fed micro grid’ of ₹17.1 lakhs funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST) under Women Scientists Scheme (WOS-A). Currently she is doing an internal funded project titled ‘Design, control and implementation of embedded switched inductor based Z-source inverter with high boost factor for photovoltaic interface’ of ₹2.2 lakhs. She received international travel grant of Rs. 1.45 lakhs under DST-ITS for attending the conference at Hawaii. She is an active Senior member in IEEE and life member in ISTE.
