个人简介
Ramani Kannan (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore, India, and the M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in power electronics and drives from Anna University, Chennai, India.
He is currently a Senior Lecturer with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Seri Iskandar, Malaysia. He holds more than 135 publications in reputed international and national journals and conferences. His research interests include power electronics, inverters, modeling of induction motors, AI, machine learning, and optimization techniques.
Dr. Kannan is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), U.K., and a member of IE (India), IET (U.K.), ISTE (India), and the Institute of Advance Engineering and Science (IAENS). He was a recipient of numerous awards related to research and teaching, and grants from FRGS, ASEAN-India, YUTP, KETTHA, and STIRF. He is an Associate Editor for IEEE Access and ITEES Wiley. He was the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Asian Scientific Research from 2011 to 2018. He is also a Regional Editor for the International Journal of Computer Aided Engineering and Technology, U.K., and an Associate Editor for Advanced Materials Science and Technology.
