Bio
My main research interest is to model the ecology and evolution of interspecific interactions. In past and current projects, I studied interactions between mistletoes and trees, fleas and mammals, bats and plants (mutualisms), insect herbivores and plants, and avian malaria. My Ph.D. research focused on ecological network topologies and their underlying mechanisms, resulting in the development of a new model to explain the origin of different complex network topologies. Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher, I am investigating the prevalence and consequences of hierarchical compound topologies in species interaction networks and also the spatial scaling of network topology.
