Bio
Claudio González is Chilean, married. He is a Doctor of Science from the University of Chile. He with PostDoctoral stay in molecular electronics and Biomass at the same University. He is a Full Professor at the University of Tarapacá. He is a former Professor of Physics at the Metropolitan Technological University. Former Professor of Chemistry at the University of Chile. He has taught Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Optics and Waves and Instrumental Analysis in the first and General Chemistry, Physicochemistry, Introduction to Environmental Sciences, Environmental Chemistry. Atmospheric Chemistry in the second. He has also worked as a Professor at the Professional Institute of the Chilean Security Association, the DUOC-UC Professional Institute and the Valle Central Professional Institute. He has ten years of academic experience in the area of Atmospheric Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry, ten years of experience in General Chemistry from the Baccalaureate Program of the University of Chile, twenty years of experience in Applied Physical Chemistry in various Professional Institutes and three years of experience. in Mechanics, Electromagnetism and Optics and Waves.
Environmental Research is being developed. In the environmental area, he has fifteen years of Research in Environmental Physicochemistry on the subject of predictive mathematical models of critical episodes of air pollution by particulate matter in the Metropolitan Region, based on the design of meteorological indicators for these models. And fifteen years in particulate matter modeling using US EPA codes such as SCREEN3©, simulating the movement of MP10 type particulate matter, according to data from weather stations and the AP-42 standard, in a 3D topographic projection using Digitized maps indicating the areas of influence of the particulate material, according to the Chilean standard. He also performs air pollution studies using other open sources such as OpenAir ©, ALOHA © and HYSPLIT ©. He has designed and developed several Environmental Physics and Chemistry Laboratories: for example, evaluation of UV and Visible radiation and use of the solar chart. His interests are to investigate ozone concentration in the troposphere and stratosphere by optical spectroscopy based on two-frequency laser irradiation, characterization of the thermal inversion layer over the Metropolitan Region basin, and the analysis of polluting gases by differential optical absorption.
He has also worked in the ENERGY area formulating R+D+i Projects. He has presented Projects at INNOVA CORFO for the production of Biodiesel, Domeyko Projects for the Vice-Rector for Research and Development of the University of Chile related to the conversion of biomass to energy in Evaluation of Energy Platforms using Biomass, formation of ENAP-U Consortiums. of Chile for the manufacture of biodiesel from lignocellulosic materials, Projects for the IDB in energy efficiency and technological innovation and several tenders for Biomass studies, Cadastre of Renewable Energy Sources, all of them for the National Energy Commission (through the ChileCompras portal ) as Consultant and Industrial Pre-evaluations for the Company BIODIESEL Chile in its pilot plant located in the commune of Lo Espejo, RM.
He has worked as an Air Quality Consultant for Pampa Camarones S.A, Somarco Ltda. COMSA de Chile S.A and Compañía Minera Los Pelambres on behalf of GESCAM Gestión de la Calidad Ambiental S.A, as Scientific Advisor of the National Center for the Environment, Associate Researcher of the Center of Environmental Chemistry of the University of Chile and of the Soil-Plant-Water Laboratory of the same University, Academic Coordinator of the Diploma in Environmental Sciences of the University of Chile, Researcher of the Chilean Nuclear Energy Commission, Advisor of several FONDECYT Projects. As a reviewer member of Thesis for the University of Chile, the University of Antioquia Colombia and the Catholic University of the Santísima Concepción. As Referee of the Atmospheric Pollution and Aerosol and Air Quality Research Magazines. As Sponsor Professor of Thesis for the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana, and as Scientific Evaluator of Projects of the EXPLORA Program of CONICYT. Academic Collaborator of the 2007 Energy Workshop organized by the Vice-Rector for Research and Development of the University of Chile. Recording Secretary of the Domeyko Program of the same Vice-Rectory. He has also completed a Diploma in Environmental Sciences.
He has twenty years of experience in research in physical chemistry of materials and more than thirty years of experience in university teaching. He has published various papers in Materials Physicochemistry, Materials Engineering, Molecular Photophysics, Organometallic Synthesis and Atmospheric Sciences..
His skills are research, strategic planning, teamwork, goal and achievement oriented, and teacher evaluation.
