Bio
Roger Ruber received the master’s degree in applied physics, from the Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, in 1991, and the Ph.D. degree in high energy physics from the University of Uppsala, Uppsala, Sweden, in 1999.
He was with KEK, Tsukuba, Japan, and CERN, Meyrin, Switzerland, where he was involved in the development of superconducting magnets for high energy physics. He became deeply involved in accelerator development through the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) project at CERN and the European Spallation Source, Lund, Sweden. He created the FREIA Laboratory, Uppsala University, where he is currently concentrating on developing new technologies for superconducting accelerating cavities and magnets.
