Reimund P. Rötter

Dr. Reimund P. Rötter is Professor of Tropical Plant Production and Agrosystems Modelling at Georg-August-University of Göttingen, Germany, since 2016. He is an agronomist, agro-ecologist and agrosystems modeller with > 30 years work experience in Africa, Asia and Europe. He received his PhD from University of Trier, and was part of the CT de Wit Wageningen modelling school till 2007. Thereafter he served as a professor of agrosystems analysis in Finland with focus on climate change, agriculture and food security till 2/2016. He has over 150 peer-reviewed publications and is an internationally leading authority in the crop growth simulation and agricultural system modelling community.
