个人简介
Rahul Raj holds two MSc degrees in Physics and Geo-information Science and a PhD in Earth Observation Science. He is currently working as a Research Associate at the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences Agrosphere (IBG-3), Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany. His research centres on analyzing forest and agriculture land surface phenology in response to climate and drought, and spatiotemporal modelling of water and carbon fluxes. His research interests include:
• Satellite remote sensing (SAR and optical) of vegetation
• Process-based modelling of vegetation productions
• Bayesian inversion of process-based model
• Radiative transfer modelling for the retrieval of vegetation characteristics from remotely sensed data
• Processing of eddy covariance data acquired at the flux towers
• Integration of field/remote sensing data and process-based model
Currently, he is working on the Digital Agricultural Knowledge and Information System (DAKIS) project to develop automated small-scale landscape-specific production systems. In this project, he contributes to developing an automated framework to model the carbon budget of the agriculture landscapes by integrating field data, remote sensing, and process-based models.
