Bio
Robert R. Fayzullin (born in Kazan) graduated from the Butlerov Institute of Chemistry at the Kazan University in 2012. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2015 at the Arbuzov Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry in the Laboratory of Stereochemistry. In 2017, he joined the Laboratory of Diffraction Research Methods at the Arbuzov Institute, where he currently heads the Quantum Crystallography & Quantum Chemistry team. Since 2017, he has been collaborating with the Coordination Chemistry and Catalysis Unit at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University. Since 2020, he has been collaborating with the Department of Quantum Chemistry at the Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology. He was awarded the IUCr Struchkov Prize in 2023.
R. R. F.’s current research interests are in (i) quantum crystallography, (ii) bond theory and quantum chemistry, (iii) quantum chemical topology, (iv) chemical bonding and interatomic interactions, (v) structure of transition states, (vi) X-ray electron density studies, (vii) chemical crystallography, and (viii) crystal structure determination and interpretation of problem structures.
