Bio
Raquel Pérez-Aloe received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Extremadura, Badajoz, Spain, in 1989 and 1996, respectively. In 1989, she joined as the Faculty Staff of the Department of Electronics and Electromechanical Engineering as a Lecturer. Since 1992, she has been a Researcher in different projects involved mainly in low-voltage low-power analog integrated circuit development for applications in hearing aids. In 1998, she was a Visiting Scholar at the Electrical Engineering Department, Texas A&M University, on a NATO Fellowship. Her research interests include CMOS analog and mixed-mode integrated circuit design, SC filter implementations, and the application of electronics to the improvement of production processes. In this latter area, she holds three invention patents and two utility models in collaboration with a non-profit organization dedicated to the use of electronic devices in the prevention of gender-based violence.
