Roberto Maestri was born in Milan, Italy, in 1961. He received the degree in electronic engineering from the University of Pavia, Pavia, Italy, in 1986.
He was with Alcatel for five years and in 1991 joined the Biomedical Engineering Unit, S. Maugeri Foundation, Scientific Institute of Montescano, Montescano, Italy, where he is currently responsible for software development. Currently his main research interests are in the field of neural control of the cardiovascular and respiratory function and in the field of home telemonitoring of cardio-respiratory signals in chronic heart failure patients.
