Since 2013, he is elected Chair of the subcommittee for the Dopamine receptors of the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology Committee on Receptor Nomenclature and Drug Classification (NC-IUPHAR). As of August 2022, he has more than 270 publications in scientific journals (including Science, Nature, Cell, PNAS) and co-authored 13 patents. His papers were cited more than 28,000 times (H-index – 81, ISI Web of Science). In 2018-2020, Raul R. Gainetdinov was included in the list of Web of Science (WOS) Highly Cited Researchers (HCR) representing top 0.1% of scientists in the world.
