I have served numerous leadership roles at Cleveland Clinic and in professional societies including ACC, ISHLT and HFSA. I have served on the Program Committee, Guidelines Committee, Executive Council, and Finance Committee of HFSA. I have participated in the annual scientific meeting of HFSA at all levels as a speaker, session chair, panelist, and Hyde Park speaker. I am most proud of the Heart Failure fellowship program we established at Cleveland Clinic which today is an ACGME approved training program. Many of our fellowship graduates are now leaders in the field of heart failure. Our contributions to medical literature have included pivotal reports in acute and chronic heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and LVAD therapy.
