On 1 November 2019 she was retired for age limits and from 27/11/2019 she was awarded the honorary title of "Docens Turris Virgatae", a position that allows her to continue her scientific activity. She worked mainly in the Frascati laboratories at the ADONE e+ e- storage ring in the MEA experiment (1975-1977), at CERN in the UA1 experiment (1978-1982), again in Frascati in the LADON facility (1982-1988), at the Gran Sasso National Laboratories in the experiments on solar neutrinos GALLEX (1985-1997) and GNO (1997-2005) and in the experiments on the Dark Matter of the Universe and on many rare processes and detector developments within the DAMA project of which she has always been the spokesperson (1990-present). Over the years he has also carried out - and carries out - other studies and research activities, an extensive teaching activity and various coordination activities. She is member of the editorial board of international journals and referees of many others. She is co-author of about 500 publications
