个人简介
Amayo’s career goal is to become one of the recognized research leaders and consultants in agricultural research and development. Specifically, he is interested in the developing technologies and building capacity of stakeholders (students, farmers, researchers, etc) so as to enhance agricultural productivity and mitigate biotic and abiotic constrains that limit crop production. Amayo is currently a Lecturer at Busitema University. He was a Research Officer/ Plant Pathology with the Dryland Legume Research Program at National Semi-arid Agricultural Resources Research Institute (NaSARRI) in Serere, one of the Public Agricultural Research Institutes (PARIs) of National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) in Uganda. He holds Master and Bachelor of Science Degrees from Makerere University and currently pursuing a PhD program in Agriculture (Plant Pathology). He has obtained several postgraduate trainings including training in project planning and management, project management for impact, among others. For over ten years he has actively participated in agricultural research and development, made presentations in different conferences, workshops, meetings and published a couple of articles as listed below in the section of other experiences. Socially, Amayo is a reserved, focused, yet an approachable individual with ability to learn and venture into new spheres.
