个人简介
Dr. Qingxun Hu earned his MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at East China University of Science and Technology, where his work focused on the development of biosensors for intracellular NAD(H) signals, including SoNar, FiNad, and Frex. He earned his PhD at Fudan University, where he developed a novel H2S donor for cardiovascular protection. He completed the postdoctoral training with Drs. Wang Wang and Rong Tian at Washington University, where his research focuses on mitochondrial dynamics in metabolic heart disease and modified a biosensor, mt-SoNar, for mitochondrial NAD(H) imaging in real-time.
Currently, He joints Shanghai University and builds an independent mitochondrial metabolism lab. His lab is interested in how mitochondrial metabolites change and regulate cell metabolism in the pathogenesis of human diseases. His lab develops various genetically encoded fluorescent indicators for monitoring metabolites in spatiotemporal resolution and sets up high-throughput screening system of genes or chemical compounds to precisely manipulate mitochondrial metabolism. The long goal of his lab is to improve cellular resistance to metabolic diseases.
