Bio
Qian Hu (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia, in 2016, during which she worked on different aspects of optical fiber transmission techniques, including few-mode fiber-based optical communication and short-reach direct-detection optical systems.
She joined the Optical Systems and Device Research Lab, Nokia Bell Labs, Stuttgart, in 2015, where she is involved in research on advanced digital signal processing for high-speed optical transmission systems, probabilistically-shaped high-order modulation formats, and ultra-high-baud-rate datacenter interconnects. She has authored and contributed to more than 70 scientific publications in the field of optical communication.
Dr. Hu serves as a member of the Technical Program Committee for Optical Fiber Communications Conference (OFC).
