个人简介
I am a determined researcher with a strong background in the field of molecular biology and cell biology. My current research centers on understanding the pathomechanism of a rare genetic disorder; GNE myopathy, which is caused by the point mutation in the gene encoding key enzyme of sialic acid biosynthesis known as GNE. I studied the involvement of ER stress/unfolded protein response (UPR) in the pathophysiology of GNE myopathy and elucidated the role of IGF-1 in ameliorating ER stress, which appears to be a protective molecule against ER stress.
