Prabhat Kumar received the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY, USA, in 2020.
He contributed to the development of 3-D electromagnetic Particle-in-Cell code SPACE and used the code for modeling and simulation of wakefield acceleration experiments at the Brookhaven National Laboratory, Brookhaven, NY, USA. He then joined Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, as a Post-Doctoral Researcher, where he was involved in modeling laser-particle coupled beam propagation for space propulsion systems and kinetic modeling of low-temperature magnetized plasmas. He is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Applied Mathematics and Computational Research Division, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley, CA, USA. His research interests include modeling and simulation of beyond-CMOS microelectronic devices, laser–plasma interactions, and high-performance computing.
