After obtaining his Ph.D. in Molecular Neuroscience at McGill University, Philippe P. Roux went to Harvard Medical School (USA) for Postdoctoral training in cancer biology. In 2006, he joined IRIC as Principal Investigator in the Cell Signaling and Proteomics Research Unit. Philippe P. Roux is a Professor in the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology of the Faculty of Medicine at the Université de Montréal. He is also a Senior Research Fellow of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé. His team seeks to understand how cells interpret their environment to maintain cellular homeostasis. In particular, they want to understand how these signaling mechanisms are diverted by cancer cells to promote tumor growth and drug resistance.
