Bio
Ioulia Poulaki is an Assistant Professor in “Tourism Business Administration” in the department of Business Administration at the University of the Aegean and an Adjunct Faculty Member in the undergraduate course of Tourism Management at the Hellenic Open University. Her academic research interests are focused on the fields of air transport (demand forecasting and revenue management), tourism development, distribution channels and digital tourism, while her papers have been published in international journals, collective volumes and international conference proceedings. Furthermore, she is a member of several tourism related scientific associations and a member of editorial boards in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. She holds a PhD in Economic Geography of Air Transport and a M.A. degree in Tourism Planning, Management and Policy from the University of the Aegean, Greece. Her undergraduate studies include a B.A. in Foreign Languages, Translation & Interpreting from the Ionian University, Greece and a B.Eng in Civil Engineering from the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences. Furthermore, she has ten years of experience in the field of air transport, both in commercial and operational departments, with high specialization in revenue management and distribution systems of airline services.
