Bio
Po-Sheng Hu was born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1977. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering with focus on design and fabrication of electromechanical system, University of California, Irvine, in 2001 and 2003, respectively. In 2007, he earned the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering with emphasis in optics, electromagnetics, and imaging instrumentation at the University of Texas, Arlington.
After the completion of graduate studies, he continued his academic career by taking on an NIH-funded postdoctoral study at the University of California, Los Angeles, where his main research topic was developing an ultrahigh resolution stimulated emission depletion microscopy for cardiovascular diseases application. He then went on to take a second postdoctoral study at Ohio State University, Columbus, where his main activity involved studying neuronal structure and functions using optical imaging methods. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Biomedical Optics Laboratory of Dr. C.-Y. Dong at National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. His current research interests include biological/biomedical studies at tissue and cellular levels using multiphoton microscopy and related techniques.
