Pierre Jacques graduated jointly from the UCLouvain and from KTH (Sweden) in June 2019, as engineer in applied mathematics. He then worked as a consultant specialized in energy markets until December 2020. Since then, he has turned to research with a PhD in ecological economics. He is particularly interested in new approaches which better integrate environmental constraints on the economy, in the wake of the pioneering World3 model from Meadows et al. Through a collaboration with the French Agency for Development (AFD), he is developing energy-economy models at the frontier of biophysical and post-Keynesian economics, aimed at guiding the low-carbon transition.
