个人简介
How do you find structure in chaos? How do you control and predict the changes in that structure? What can we learn from nature when building complex, distributed systems that humans can use and understand? I enjoy working on projects that seek answers to these questions. I want to make complex systems more intuitive and predictable for the people in charge of managing them, and I enjoy pulling influences from diverse fields of knowledge to do so.
In the past few years I have:
* Improved the resilience of computer networks using strategies employed by honeybees to defend their hives.
* Developed virtual reality interfaces to visualize and control hundreds of robots simultaneously.
* Debated the impact future fleets of delivery drones will have on everyday citizens going about their lives below them.
