个人简介
Philip Schlup was born in Switzerland. He received the B.Sc. (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand, in 1998 and 2003, respectively.
His research focused on pulsed nanosecond nonlinear optical effects and intracavity nonlinear conversion, culminating in his thesis on passive methods for optical bandwidth control in optical parametric oscillators for chemical sensing applications. After attaining his degree, he studied femtosecond nonlinear optics and light-matter interactions in Ursula Keller's Group at ETH Zurich, Zurich Switzerland. Since 2006, he has been with Colorado State University, Fort Collins. His current research interests include the development of ultrafast solid-state and fiber laser sources and nonlinear conversion effects, and their application to Raman spectroscopy and microscopy.
Dr. Schlup is a member of the Optical Society of America and the German Physical Society.
