Through my work for the IUCN SSC Species Monitoring Specialist Group, & with the Laboratory for Conservation Biology at UNIL, I am developing and implementing research to enhance the science behind biodiversity monitoring. Research topics include: review of tools and technologies for biodiversity monitoring; mapping global data and capacity gaps; building capacity for biodiversity monitoring in protected areas and the private sector; measuring species conservation status and recovery.
