Bio
Pedro Sá Couto is graduated in Mathematics Applied to Technology, holds a master degree in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto.
Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in Department of Mathematics (DMAT) at University of Aveiro (UA). In addition, he is a member of Probability and Statistics Group (PSG) and collaborates in the thematic lines of Biomathematics (BioMath) and Mathematics: Teaching and Assessment in Higher Education Thematic Line (MATEAS) of the Center of Research and Development in Mathematics and Applications (CIDMA). He is also a collaborator of the Clinical Simulation Center (SIMULA) of University of Aveiro.
His research interests are related to statistical methods applied to health/medical research, new teaching methods related to the educational statistical, and mathematical models of physiological systems for educational simulation. He also participated in many papers in international scientific periodicals, communications in scientific meetings and book chapters.
