Pawel Aleksandrowski, PhD, DHabil, Professor at Institute of Geosciences, University of Wroclaw, Poland (Head, Section Structural Geology) & Chief Geology Specialist at Polish Geological Survey, Wrocław Center. Research interests: structural geology, tectonics and regional geology, including applications in hydrocarbon and thermal water exploration. His research has been focused mostly on the Carpathians, Central European Variscides and their broadly understood foreland, as well as on analysis of fault populations and tectonic in-situ stress and palaeostress fields, using seismic and borehole geophysical data.
