Paulette Gavignet joined Orange Labs (Lannion) in 1998, where she has been first involved in the evaluation and validation of WDM long haul terrestrial transmission systems, especially on engineering rules. Previously, she was employed for 7 years at the R&D teams of Alcatel (now Nokia) where she worked on switching and routing. Between 2009 and 2018, she worked on photonic switching solutions through the implementation of several test-beds dealing with the access to the sub-wavelength granularity in both time and spectral domains in particular in the frame of the European Celtic-Plus project SASER-SaveNet. Since 2018, she is in charge of the Orange contribution to the H2020 European CiViQ (Continuous Variable Quantum communications) project and is also involved in the OPENQKD (Open European Quantum Key distribution testbed) project, both dealing with quantum technologies for the security of data exchange. She is authored and coauthored more than 40 national/international papers or communications as well as nine patents.
