Dr. Patrick X. Zhao is a Professor of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at the Noble Research Institute. His lab develops innovative computational methods that tackle large-scale ‘omics’ data, with a specific focus on 1) gene function, regulation, and networks; 2) comparative 'omics' and genome annotation; 3) functional genomics and metagenomics to understand plant-microbe interactions; and 4) 'big' Bio-data analytics and biological knowledge discovery.
