Patrick Bertolino is a Faculty member of the Centenary Institute where he leads the Liver Immunology Group. He completed his PhD in France before undertaking post-doctoral studies at the WEHI, ENS-Lyon (France) and at the Centenary Institute in Sydney where he established the Liver Immunology group in 2001. He has made some seminal discoveries in this field and is internationally acknowledged as one of the top leading experts in Liver Immunology worldwide. This research is important in several clinical settings including transplantation, malaria and chronic hepatitis C virus infection.
