Bio
Dr. Patricia Diaz-Gimeno is a principal investigator specialised in genetics with extraordinary award on the degree programme (2006). She obtained her PhD degree in Gynaecologist and Obstetrics school of Medicine (2011) after developing a genomic diangnostic tool based on the transcriptomic signature for human endometrial receptivity for precision medicine in the evaluation of endometrial factor (Diaz-Gimeno, 2011). This translational research tool was patented (EP233107) and nowadays is used in the clinical setting. After 5 years of learning about the endometrial transcriptomics of patient population, the tool was retrained (Diaz-Gimeno, 2017) and became a resource of knowledge for defining a new WOI taxonomy. Patricia Diaz-Gimeno has been specialized in molecular biology experimental procedures and especially high thought-put technologies and its related computational analysis. She developed a postdoctoral stage in the computational genomics department leaded by Dr. Joaquin Dopazo (2011-2013), a three months postdoctoral stay in Genomics of gene expression lab leaded by Ana Conesa (2014) and recently a six months postdoctoral stay in Oxford University UK. Nuffield department of Women's health leaded by Dagan Wells (2019).
Patricia Diaz-Gimeno currently develops her research career as a Miguel Servet researcher (PI) (2020-2026) (Spanish Ministry of health program) at IVI-RMA Foundation, Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria (IIS) La Fe. In IVI Foundation She is the director of the bioinformatic Lab (since 2014) and leads the research group in Genomic & Systems Reproductive Medicine where currently co-directs eight PhD thesis. Diaz-Gimeno´s group has focused on the research in personalised reproductive medicine based on Genomic and Systems Biology approaches using artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms and biological networks for developing new strategies for patient stratification and the proposal of new treatments (Systems pharmacology). She is specialised in Infertility, RNA experimental procedures, Functional Genomics, Human Reproductive Biology and Data Driven Discovery.
Patricia Diaz-Gimeno has published around 40 scientific peer review articles having 2,845 citations and more than 50 communications in the main human reproduction international conferences (ESHRE, SRI, ASRM, SRR), that results in a 21 h index . Most of this articles have been published in the journals with the highest impact in human reproduction field (Fertility & Sterility and Human Reproduction).
