I am an academic research leader strongly oriented to industrial application.
My research groups (IMPALab and ARHeMLab) design and prototype advanced solutions of soft transducers, integrated supervision and heuristics diagnostics systems, precision instruments, biomedical instrumentation, embedded Artificial Intelligence, and so on.
In this current year, we are consolidating RD activity (i) in cooperation with CERN (IMPALab), in the specific field of instrumentation and measurements for particle accelerators, as well as (ii) in biomedical instrumentation (ARHeMLab), namely for Brain-Computer Interface for Augmented Reality and the "electronic no-needle syringe".
Strategically, we are now engaged in the effort of launching RD in brain-machine interface as well as in high-accuracy indoor localization for immersive life-size augmented reality.
Finally, we are going to replace the last spin-off companies closed in last years (Timshel and Hapwel) by a new generation of application-oriented start-ups exploiting new ways of hi-tech digital makership.
