The main research topics are: quantitative modeling of dynamic systems; Bayesian estimation and Markov chain Monte Carlo methods; intelligent data analysis using probabilistic, machine learning and AI techniques; decision making; biostatistics; pharmacometrics (including pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics models, population models), modeling and simulation of metabolic systems, bioinformatics and synthetic biology. These methodologies are investigated mainly to solve relevant biological/clinical problems.
