Bio
In his research work, he sought to solve the practically important problems of material science and technology with the help of quantum mechanics-based, atomic-level, computer simulation, in close cooperation with experimental research. His main field of experience is the calculation of the electronic structure of point defects and surfaces in semiconductors and insulators (e.g. titanium dioxide, diamond, silicon, and gallium-based systems), as well as the necessary method development (charge correction of periodic models, new exchange functionals). He published more than two hundred technical articles in these fields and was the editor of three monographs.
