Bio
P. Shing Ho studies how DNA structures affect their genomic function, and the use of bioengineering in rational drug design.
Ho’s recent research focuses on using halogen bonds to control molecular structure for bioengineering and ligand binding, using x-ray crystallography, computational biology, biochemistry and bioinformatics.
Ho is a Fellow with the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry and has received several awards, including the James A. Shannon Director’s Award from the National Institute of Health, the Discovery Award from the Medical Research Foundation of Oregon and the Scholarship Impact Award from Colorado State University.
