Bio
Pedro Espín holds a M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering from Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT) in 2015. In the master thesis, he designed and fabricated novel microwave circuits and antennas, proposing new techniques for designing leaky-wave antennas. He is currently a PhD student of the Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Pavia. His PhD research activities are focused on the investigation of ground-based radars for snowpack monitoring. Since October 2019, he is part of the GEON Department in the Geomatics Division of CTTC as Research Assistant.
His main research interests are the geophysical applications of microwave sensors, focusing in the development of new techniques for ground-based radars and GNSS receivers for snowpack monitoring. Novel techniques in the design and fabrication of microwave components are also part of his research area. He has authored or co-authored papers in international journals concerning the previous topics.
