个人简介
Paolo Di Barba, DSc PhD MSc, is a full professor of electrical engineering at the University of Pavia (Italy), Department of Industrial and Information Engineering. His scientific interests include the computer-aided design of electric and magnetic devices, with special emphasis on the methods for field synthesis and automated optimal design. He contributed to apply the theory of Pareto optimality for multiobjective design optimization in computational electromagnetism. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 papers, either presented to international conferences or published in international journals, a book Field Models in Electricity and Magnetism (Springer, 2008) and a monograph Multiobjective Shape Design in Electricity and Magnetism (Springer, 2010). He chairs the PhD School in Electronics, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, and the Research Centre for the History of Electrical Technology, University of Pavia. He is a consultant of ABB Corporate Research Centre, Baden and Cracow, and Infolytica Corporation, Montreal.
