Professor Chen’s research interests focus on the molecular virology of hepatitis viruses, and the genetic and genomic study of hepatocellular carcinoma. His clinical research covers the natural history of chronic viral hepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma, and also explores and conducts new therapies and trials for both diseases. He has published over 600 articles in the areas of hepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
