个人简介
Degree in Civil Engineering, at the University of Coimbra, Portugal (UC); MSc in Civil Engineering, specialization in Hydraulics and Water Resources, at the University of Coimbra; PhD in Civil Engineering, specialization in Construction Sciences, at the University of Coimbra. Presently, he is an Associate Professor at the Dept. of Civil Engineering, at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC), where he has been lecturing subjects on the scientific areas of Construction Sciences, Acoustics, Numerical Methods and Hydraulics. In the scope of Integrated Masters Courses in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering, at FCTUC, he has co-supervised 3 concluded PhD theses and 32 concluded MSc theses. He is one of the Coordinators of the Master Course on Acoustic and Energy Efficiency for a Sustainable Construction, lectured at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Coimbra. Since July 2019 he is Local Coordinator at the University of Coimbra of the international Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree WAVES (Waves, Acoustics, Vibration, Engineering and Sound), jointly organized by the Universidade de Coimbra (UC, Portugal), the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV, Spain), and the Aix-Marseille Université - Ecole Centrale Marseille (AMU-ECM, France).
Presently, supervises 5 ongoing PhD theses and 3 ongoing MSc theses, and has been a member of the jury of 74 MSc and 5 PhD theses. As a researcher member, integrates the Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering - ISISE at UC. As a researcher team member and coordinator, has participated in several supported research and applied research projects, in the area of Construction Sciences, being co-author of 46 papers published in indexed peer reviewed scientific journals, 3 book chapters and approximately 137 papers published in international and national scientific and technical conference proceedings, of which around 16 are invited communications.
