OPPONG PAUL KWABENA affectionately called OPK in the academic arena hails from Fereso - Bosome Freho District of the Ashanti Region of Ghana. OPK is the first among his siblings to complete University and further for master\'s and a PhD degree in Agricultural Engineering with specifics in Robotics, Renewable Energy and Climate Change Issues. Dr Oppong, always say that the best education he ever had started at home after he was adopted by his late uncle Mr S.Y Adarkwah who was a district Coordinator within various districts in Ghana at the age of two (2) years. This was when his uncle’s wife (Madam Adwoa Boatemaa) taught him the principles and values in life that he still holds strong until this very day. Dr Oppong started his kindergarten in Goaso Brong Ahafo - Bright Star Academy and received several awards in his primary school days some of which were being the best student in several subjects and the most responsible student of his year group and several quiz and debate competition awards. He took Junior High education at Danyame M/A and State Experimental Junior High School all of Kumasi, the capital of Ashanti Region of Ghana. In 2001, he started his Senior High School at St. James Seminary & Senior High School, Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region where he studied for the S.S.C.E in General Science and completed in 2004. This was the coolest and most enjoyable facet of his life because he won different scholarships and awards ranging from Academics to student\'s discipline of the 2004-year group. On August 18, 2005, he gained admission at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi – Ghana (KNUST) to read Agricultural Science with Agricultural Mechanization Option and graduated with BSc degree in 2009/2010 academic year. Oppong did his National Service at the Kwame Nkrumah University Agricultural Engineering Department and part-time service at Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) – Amansie West District within which he attained Radio and Media Training Certificates as a Radio Presenter at Spirit FM 88.3MHz – Kumasi. Again, on August 20, 2012, OPK enrolled for his master\'s degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where he studied for MSc degree in Agro-Environmental Engineering and graduated in 2015 with distinction. OPK was selected by the Agricultural Engineering Department to serve as Junior Lecturer and Course demonstrator for – Soil and Water Engineering, Drainage and Flood Control and Wastewater Treatment. 2015/2016 academic year saw him back in school again this time for his doctoral study at the Kwame Nkrumah University with the PhD program in Renewable Energy, but Oppong left Ghana and for that matter KNUST in 2017 February 20, to further his doctoral study in Canada (University of Toronto) and China (Jiangsu University), University of Arkansas and Xavier University under the Agricultural Engineering and Equipment Institute where his research and documentary production focus on Agricultural Robots, Climate Change and Greenhouse Adaptations with Professor Mao Hanping, Professor Henry Chris and Dr Elizabeth Liz Blume being his main research supervisors. While outside Ghana, Oppong has attended twenty-four different Academic Conferences of which he has won Eighteen Gold Prizes (18), a Silver and a Bronze. Oppong received the Award of attending the 2017 December Conference on Creative Engineering Design (CED) which was held in Yamaguchi University – Japan. Dr OPPONG PAUL KWABENA - OPK, has been a visiting scholar to different universities including the University of Malaysia, University of Arkansas - USA, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) - USA. Currently, Oppong is with Ho Technical University and Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio as a researcher.
