Materials science researcher focused on the synthesis and characterization of novel IV materials with applications in optoelectronics. Ability to analyze with skills in project management, initiative, creativity, communication, effort, and dedication. Ease of adaptation to job change, quick learner, versatile and creative team player. Experience in teaching at the university level and in the guide of doctoral, master's, and bachelor's students.
Versatility in the use of several growth systems to obtain thin films such as CVD, MBE, PVD, and CSVT. Practice in the use of a wide variety of characterization techniques such as XRD, XRR, Maps Scans, Texture, AFM, RHEED, LEED, XPS, RBS, ARPES, and magneto-electrical transport. Skills in interpreting the results obtained by other techniques such as SEM, EDX, SIMS, and TEM. Device manufacturing skills using lithography and cleanroom facilities. Knowledge of programming/simulation using Wolfram Mathematica, Labview, and Comsol Multiphysics.
Postdoc at the University of Twente (Netherlands), Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at Cinvestav (Mexico), and Master in Physical Sciences and graduate in Physical Engineering, at the University of Havana (Cuba). Research stays at the Max Planck Institute (Germany) and the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain).
