Olivier Leprince

Diplomas: Ph.D. in Plant Sciences, University of Liège (Belgium) in 1992, HDR University of Angers, 2000. O. Leprince has 20 years of postdoctoral experience in seed physiology. After a postdoctoral stay at the university of Guelph (Canada) where he worked on oxidative stress in Medicago sativa, he was a research associate with the ARS-USDA at the National Seed Storage Laboratory where he demonstrated the importance of glasses in relation to seed storage stability. Then he was awarded a fellowship from the EU Human Capital & Mobility Program to work on oleosins in Brassica seeds at the Jonn Innes Institute. In 1997, he moved to the University of Wageningen (NL) as a research associate where he worked on desiccation tolerance and seed longevity. In 2000, he was appointed professor at the National Institute of Horticulture, Angers (FR), now called Agrocampus Ouest. He is the author of 39 refereed publications in the field of desiccation tolerance and longevity in seeds.,
