Bio
Dr. Yamato’s research interests encompass a range of inherited or genetic diseases in animals, including lysosomal storage disorders. Through his research, Dr. Yamato is investigating the pathogenesis of these diseases and developing diagnostic and therapeutic methods to combat them. Among his many interests, he has published and lectured on the toxicity and medicinal potential of Allium plants such as onions and garlic, and is currently involved in major projects related to nutrition in captive and free-range wild animals.
